Just finished reading “White Fragility” by Robin DiAngelo. As a non-black "person of color" I didn't strictly identify with either the oppressor or the oppressed but identified with both as well. Might be difficult for many white people to read but should be required reading.
Look big and act small.
Trust, but verify"

Risque. Sex sells. GoDaddy Girl
Arouse Emotion. pride, achievement, uniqueness, adrenaline, and fame.
Be interactive.
Be unconventional.
The business environment is tough right now” “Our strategy will take time to produce results”と言い訳する。
Execution is a discipline. It is a systematic process of rigorously discussing hows and whats, questioning, tenaciously following through, and ensuring accountability.
Execution is a way to expose reality and to act on it.
Leaders job is 3 core processes:
Picking other leaders
Setting strategic direction
Conducting operation
Does it sound micromanaging?
Chapter 3 Building Block One: Leader's Seven Essential Behaviors
7 essential behaviors.
Know your people and your business
Jack Welch visited factory to learn high inventory turns, rather than sending his people.
Insist on realism
Order-fill rate seen by company’s people vs customers.
“What do you like about Honeywell, and what you don’t?” at roundtables.
Set clear goals and priorities
Few clearly realistic goals. “10 priorities” is not priority.
Follow through
Reward the doers
Measure, reward, and promote doers.
Expand people’s capabilities
This isn't a disaster but you've got to fix it."
Six Sigmaやdigitalization.
Know yourself
Without "emotional fortitude", you cannot be honest with yourself, deal honestly with business and organizational realities, or give people forth-right assessments.
Authenticity.
Self-awarenest.
Self-mastery. Keep ego in check, take responsibility for your behavior, adopt to change, embrace new ideas, adhere to your standards of integrity and honestly under all conditions.
Humility. Attitude to learn anything from anyone.
(Jack: Straight from the Gut)
Chapter 4: Building Block Two. Creating the Framework for Cultural Change
"How should our culture change?", "From what to what?”, 数人のManagement teamがその文化を体現しなければ他の何十人にも文化は浸透しない。
Social Hardware: corporate structure, compensation, financial reports, hierarchical distribution of power, communication system.
Social Software: values, beliefs, and norms of behaviors.
The Importance of Robust Dialogue
“Okay. Let’s talk about that. Let’s listen to everybody and then make our choice”
Chapter 5: Building Block Three. The Job No Leader Should Delegate — Having the Right People in the Right Place.
Chapter 6. The People Process: Making the Link with Strategy and Operations
She's smartやhe's a good guyではなく人を評価するときの共通言語。Ability to operationalize. He doesn’t have strategic perspective.
Chapter 7. The Strategy Process: Making the Link with People and Operations
